PRODUCT DESCRIPTION SANDING FLEECE roll SC-006 | GRIT 240

EICKELIT abrasive fleece is particularly suitable for cleaning, fine grinding, matting and satin finishing of steel and non-ferrous metals. With our wide range of abrasive nonwovens based on silicon carbide with different strengths and grain sizes, we answer a wide variety of application-related requirements from our customers.

Thanks to the great flexibility of the tangled fleece, complex profiles and geometries in particular can be processed very efficiently and with gentle removal. In the process, the backing material is constantly being worn down, so fresh grinding particles are constantly being released in uniform concentrations on the tool surface. This creates a uniform grinding pattern throughout the service life.

With its very sharp-edged crystals, abrasive fleeces based on silicon carbide are sharper than corundum and thus provide more effective removal. Due to its higher hardness, silicon carbide is used in particular on non-ferrous metals, low-carbon tool steels and ceramic and mineral materials.
