EICKELIT slashed abrasive cloth polishing brushes consist of multiple plies of slotted corundum abrasive cloth. At their first contact with the work piece surface, the fixing bars between the stripes break and a brush of hundreds of abrasive, very light, flexible and resistant stripes is created. Slashed abrasive polishing tools have a strong cooling effect and therefore are favored for gentle deburring, matting or grinding of profiled work pieces with delicate surfaces such as aluminum, plastic or wood.

* Polishing discs drilled individually at the customer's request are excluded from exchange or return in accordance with our Terms of Cancellation.
Slashed abrasive is made from high quality abrasive cloth that has been laser cut into 6 mm wide stripes. The fine ridges between the stripes only break at the first contact of the polishing tool with the work piece. The released hundreds of abrasive, very light, flexible and resistant abrasive stripes form a very soft brush for gentle abrasive tasks on delicate surfaces.
Corundum / Aluminum Oxide (AO)
Corundum consists of> 95% aluminum oxide and is the most frequently used grinding tool on bonded abrasives. However, as the degree of purity increases, the hardness and brittleness of corundum increase, which has a rather negative effect on the longevity of the abrasive grain and thus the uniformity of the grinding pattern. That is why we mainly use abrasive fleeces with doped and consequently more ductile types of corundum. On the one hand, this increases the service life of the polishing tools and, on the other hand, the grinding pattern looks more balanced compared to undoped aluminum oxide.
Areas of Application
Deburring of profiled workpieces and cutting edges
Processing of thermoplastics below the melting or decomposition temperature
