EICKELIT abrasive fleece is particularly suitable for cleaning, fine grinding, matting and satin finishing of steel and non-ferrous metals. With our wide range of abrasive nonwovens based on silicon carbide with different strengths and grain sizes, we answer a wide variety of application-related requirements from our customers.

Thanks to the great flexibility of the tangled fleece, complex profiles and geometries in particular can be processed very efficiently and with gentle removal. In the process, the backing material is constantly being worn down, so fresh grinding particles are constantly being released in uniform concentrations on the tool surface. This creates a uniform grinding pattern throughout the service life.

In contrast to corundum, silicon carbide consists of very sharp-edged crystals. As a result, abrasive fleeces based on SiC are sharper and provide more effective removal. Due to its hardness, abrasive fleece based on SiC is used particularly on non-ferrous metals, low-carbon tool steels and ceramic and mineral materials.
