Stainless steel "super finish" polishing set for angle grinders | 250 mm

With the eight-piece super finish polishing set for stainless steel, finely ground stainless steel components can be refined to a super finish using a hand polishing machine or angle grinder. The surface treatment is carried out in four steps: pre-polishing, main polishing, high-gloss polishing and super finish. With this super finish polishing set, you can reliably achieve the bluish mirror shine characteristic of stainless steel in the yacht standard on carefully polished stainless steel surfaces.

Application

Step 1

The evenly sanded and cleaned surface crosswise with the cut buffing disc Sisal-Cotton SB-VR-10 together with Menzerna 439T quickly pre-polish at approx. 25-30 m/s (1,900 - 2,300 rpm) until the workpiece has an even, satin-matt surface without scratches or grooves
  • After polishing, clean the surface of abrasion and paste residues with a dry, soft and lint-free cloth. If necessary, degrease the workpiece with a suitable solvent or Viennese lime

Step 2

  • The evenly pre-polished and cleaned surface in cross passes with the cotton buffing disc, raw cotton fabric N2550 "firm" together with Menzerna P14F at approx. 25-30 m/s (1,900 - 2,300 rpm) quickly polish to a high gloss
  • After polishing, clean the surface with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth. If necessary, degrease the workpiece with a suitable solvent or Viennese lime

Step 3

  • Polish the clean, glossy surface using the high gloss buffing disc, raw cotton fabric N2501 "light" and Menzerna P126 INOX high gloss compound at approx. 25-30 m/s (1,900 - 2,300 rpm) quickly and in cross passes to a fine high gloss finish

Step 4

  • Buff the clean, mirror-polished surface using the Effekta FM230/X-1 super finish pleated buffing wheel and Menzerna P175 at approx. 25-30 m/s (1,900 - 2,300 rpm) in quick cross passes to a perfect super finish
  • The Super Finish Paste P175 only leaves an invisible microfilm on the flawless surface. To protect this surface, mechanical cleaning after superfinishing is usually avoided
