Aluminium "complete" polishing set for angle grinders | 180mm
Six-part polishing set for aluminium, especially for hand-held polishing machines or angle grinders with M14 mount. This polishing set reliably delivers the flawless mirror finish that is characteristic of aluminum on carefully ground aluminum surfaces in three coordinated polishing steps.

Application
- Wear protective equipment and follow safety regulations!
- Roughen the polishing discs before use using a suitable dressing tool
- Wet rotating tool sparingly with polishing paste
- Measure the pressure carefully! Too high contact pressure and/or too low speeds lead to overheating of the workpiece with uneven surfaces that can no longer be improved by polishing!
Step 1 - Pre-polishing
- The evenly sanded and cleaned surface crosswise with the SB-VR-10 sisal nettle shaft tool together with Menzerna 439T quickly pre-polish at approx. 35-40 m/s (3,700 - 4,500 rpm) until an even, satin-matt surface without scratches and grooves is achieved on the workpiece
- After polishing, clean the surface of abrasion and paste residues with a dry, soft and lint-free cloth. If necessary, degrease the workpiece with a suitable solvent or Viennese lime
Step 2 - High Gloss
- The evenly pre-polished and cleaned surface in cross passes with a shank tool Effekta N2550 together with Menzerna 480BLF at approx. 30-35 m/s (3,200 - 3,700 rpm) quickly polish to a high gloss
- After polishing, clean the surface with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth. If necessary, degrease the workpiece with a suitable solvent or Viennese lime
Step 3 - Superfinish
- The clean, high-gloss polished surface is achieved with the Effecta FM230 Super Finish polishing disc and Menzerna P175 at approx. 30-35 m/s (3,200 - 3,700 rpm) quickly in cross passes until the desired mirror finish is achieved
- The Super Finish Paste P175 only leaves an invisible microfilm on the flawless surface. To protect this surface, one usually avoids mechanical cleaning after superfinishing
Protective Equipment when Polishing
When grinding and polishing, the work equipment used creates considerable health risks. It is therefore compulsory to wear suitable personal protective equipment for work safety when grinding and polishing. In particular, all rotating polishing and brushing tools may only be operated with suitable covers for reasons of occupational safety.
Wear eye / face protection
The fine dust emanating from polishing is harmful to the eyes. Flying parts can cause serious injuries to the face and eyes.
Wear respiratory protection
Fine dust contaminated with heavy metals and respirable, which can only be retained with suitable respiratory protection, is produced during polishing.
Wear protective clothing
Flying parts can cause sensitive injuries all over the body.
Wear gloves
In general, gloves should be worn when grinding and polishing. If there is a risk of being wound up (e.g. drills, processing small parts, etc.), gloves may be prohibited on the basis of a risk assessment.
Wear ear protection
Due to the noise exposure during grinding and polishing, it is necessary to wear suitable hearing protection on a regular basis.
