INOX polishing set for Angle Grinders | 180 mm
Polishing set for high-gloss polishing of stainless steel surfaces with hand polishing machines or angle grinders with M 14 shank. The polishing set quickly delivers a clear high gloss on carefully pre-polished INOX surfaces.

- High-gloss polishing wheel made of fully round layers of raw cotton N2501, 3-fold quilted, D = 180 mm, S = 25 mm, W = 14 mm
- Vmax = 40 m/s, Umax = 4,300 rpm
- Stainless steel high-gloss polishing paste Menzerna P126 (approx. 1, 3 kg)
- M14 mandrel for angle grinders, maximum disc thickness: approx. 50 mm, 1 flat nut M14 left-hand thread / approx. 70 mm diameter, 1 flange 2 x 14 x 70 mm
Application
- Wear protective equipment and follow safety regulations!
- Roughen the polishing wheel first with the help of a suitable dressing tool
- Wet the rotating tool with the polishing paste
- Polish the evenly pre-polished and clean surface quickly in cross-coats at approx. 25-30 m/s (2,700 - 3,200 rpm) to a high gloss
- Measure the pressure carefully! If the contact pressure is too high and/or the speed is too low, this can lead to an unsteady surface due to overheating of the workpiece
- After polishing, clean the surface with a soft, lint-free cloth and, if necessary, degrease with a suitable solvent or Viennese lime
Protective Equipment when Polishing
When grinding and polishing, the work equipment used creates considerable health risks. It is therefore compulsory to wear suitable personal protective equipment for work safety when grinding and polishing. In particular, all rotating polishing and brushing tools may only be operated with suitable covers for reasons of occupational safety.
Wear eye / face protection
The fine dust emanating from polishing is harmful to the eyes. Flying parts can cause serious injuries to the face and eyes.
Wear respiratory protection
Fine dust contaminated with heavy metals and respirable, which can only be retained with suitable respiratory protection, is produced during polishing.
Wear protective clothing
Flying parts can cause sensitive injuries all over the body.
Wear gloves
In general, gloves should be worn when grinding and polishing. If there is a risk of being wound up (e.g. drills, processing small parts, etc.), gloves may be prohibited on the basis of a risk assessment.
Wear ear protection
Due to the noise exposure during grinding and polishing, it is necessary to wear suitable hearing protection on a regular basis.
