PRODUCT DESCRIPTION SISAL CORD BRUSHES

Sisal cord pre-polishing brushes are used for pre-polishing shaped workpiece surfaces. Due to the flexible sisal bristles, depressions, undercuts, corners and edges are also optimally processed. This means that even workpieces with complex shapes can be perfectly polished in just one step. When pre-polishing with a coarse pre-polishing paste, surfaces made of stainless steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals are smoothed in a short time and are therefore ideal for further processes such as e.g. B. prepared for high-gloss polishing or anodizing.

Sisal is a raw material that is very resistant to strong physical and chemical stresses. Its fibers are very tough and have high tensile strength and are characterized by their high rigidity. Due to the gently abrasive effect of sisal, polishing tools made from it are particularly suitable for pre-polishing metals.

EICKELIT sisal cord pre-polishing brushes use 8-fold knotted, approx. 5 mm thick sisal cords exclusively from European production. These cords, specially manufactured for EICKELIT, contain sisal fibers of the highest quality with a particularly large staple length. This makes them very supple and ensures the excellent service life and high efficiency of EICKELIT sisal cord brushes.

With our impregnated sisal cord pre-polishing brushes get an even more powerful attack if needed.

General Information on Polishing

Protective Equipment when Polishing

When grinding and polishing, the work equipment used creates considerable health risks. It is therefore compulsory to wear suitable personal protective equipment for work safety when grinding and polishing. In particular, all rotating polishing and brushing tools may only be operated with suitable covers for reasons of occupational safety.

ISO 7010 M013 Wear eye / face protection

Wear eye / face protection

The fine dust emanating from polishing is harmful to the eyes. Flying parts can cause serious injuries to the face and eyes.

ISO 7010 M017 Wear respiratory protection

Wear respiratory protection

Fine dust contaminated with heavy metals and respirable, which can only be retained with suitable respiratory protection, is produced during polishing.

ISO 7010 M010 Wear protective clothing

Wear protective clothing

Flying parts can cause sensitive injuries all over the body.

ISO 7010 M009 Wear gloves

Wear gloves

In general, gloves should be worn when grinding and polishing. If there is a risk of being wound up (e.g. drills, processing small parts, etc.), gloves may be prohibited on the basis of a risk assessment.

ISO 7010 M003 Wear ear protection

Wear ear protection

Due to the noise exposure during grinding and polishing, it is necessary to wear suitable hearing protection on a regular basis.
