PRODUCT DESCRIPTION KONSTANT 4-4 / diameter 400 mm
EICKELIT polishing discs of the KONSTANT 4-4 type are primarily used for polishing aluminum, stainless steel or paint. The fabric layers made of pure raw cotton, pleated as a Z-fold, provide a high contact pressure. At the same time, the KONSTANT polishing wheel adapts flexibly to shaped surfaces. It also creates a strong air flow and thus very effective cooling.

COTTON QUALITY
We only use Oeko-Tex® certified fabrics made from raw cotton for our polishing discs. The cotton fabrics we select also contain no synthetic fibres. That is why EIKELIT polishing discs wear out particularly evenly with little dust formation. We always have an extensive cotton range with a wide range of uses in stock.
The light raw cotton cretonne N16 has a specific weight of approx. 190 g/m². It is particularly suitable for high-gloss polishing of non-ferrous metals, plastics and paint.
APPLICATIONS Konstant Polishing Discs
Due to their pleated cotton fabric made up of several individual layers, KONSTANT polishing discs allow strong counter-pressure. This distinguishes the KONSTANT polishing discs from the significantly softer EFFEKTA high-gloss polishing discs with soft folding and the much firmer cotton polishing disks made from full-round cotton sheets.
KONSTANT polishing discs are used in particular for pre-polishing and high-gloss polishing of metal and plastic surfaces. Our wide range of different types of cotton make KONSTANT polishing discs for universal use: be it for pre-polishing non-ferrous metals or stainless steel, be it the high-gloss polish of sensitive paint surfaces.
KONSTANT polishing tools generate a powerful air flow due to their Z-folding and therefore have a strong cooling effect. In addition, their construction results in extraordinarily homogeneous polishing patterns on large areas and shaped workpieces.
Protective Equipment when Polishing
When grinding and polishing, the work equipment used creates considerable health risks. It is therefore compulsory to wear suitable personal protective equipment for work safety when grinding and polishing. In particular, all rotating polishing and brushing tools may only be operated with suitable covers for reasons of occupational safety.
Wear eye / face protection
The fine dust emanating from polishing is harmful to the eyes. Flying parts can cause serious injuries to the face and eyes.
Wear respiratory protection
Fine dust contaminated with heavy metals and respirable, which can only be retained with suitable respiratory protection, is produced during polishing.
Wear protective clothing
Flying parts can cause sensitive injuries all over the body.
Wear gloves
In general, gloves should be worn when grinding and polishing. If there is a risk of being wound up (e.g. drills, processing small parts, etc.), gloves may be prohibited on the basis of a risk assessment.
Wear ear protection
Due to the noise exposure during grinding and polishing, it is necessary to wear suitable hearing protection on a regular basis.
