PRODUCT DESCRIPTION KONSTANT 4-4 / diameter 200 mm
The high-performance polishing discs KONSTANT 4-4 are particularly suitable for the pre- and main polishing of non-ferrous metals and stainless steel. The disc consists of 4 layers of Z-pleated raw cotton fabric layers arranged spirally around a cardboard core. This is why KONSTANT polishing discs allow high contact pressure without losing their flexibility. In addition, their folds generate a strong air flow, which ensures good cooling of the workpiece even with high polishing performance.

COTTON QUALITY
Our professional polishing discs contain only Oeko-Tex® certified fabric made from raw cotton. All of our selected plain weave cotton cretonnes are 100% free of synthetic fibres. For this reason, our polishing discs wear out evenly and produce very little dust. Find out about our extensive and constantly stock cotton fabric range with its different areas of application.
N16 is a medium-strength raw cotton fabric with a specific weight of approx. 190 g/m². Due to its properties, N16 is particularly suitable for polishing non-ferrous metals, plastics and paint.
APPLICATIONS Konstant Polishing Discs
KONSTANT polishing discs are mainly used for pre- and main polishing. With our extensive range of cotton fabric types, KONSTANT polishing discs are suitable for everything from pre-polishing non-ferrous metals and stainless steel to high-gloss polishing of sensitive paint surfaces.
The KONSTANT polishing discs are folded with several layers and provide a strong counter-pressure. With this property, they rank between the significantly softer EFFEKTA polishing tools and the considerably firmer polishing disks made of full-round cotton fabric sheets.
With their Z-shaped folds, KONSTANT polishing tools deliver a powerful air flow for effective cooling and are characterized by their homogeneous polishing patterns on surfaces.
Protective Equipment when Polishing
When grinding and polishing, the work equipment used creates considerable health risks. It is therefore compulsory to wear suitable personal protective equipment for work safety when grinding and polishing. In particular, all rotating polishing and brushing tools may only be operated with suitable covers for reasons of occupational safety.
Wear eye / face protection
The fine dust emanating from polishing is harmful to the eyes. Flying parts can cause serious injuries to the face and eyes.
Wear respiratory protection
Fine dust contaminated with heavy metals and respirable, which can only be retained with suitable respiratory protection, is produced during polishing.
Wear protective clothing
Flying parts can cause sensitive injuries all over the body.
Wear gloves
In general, gloves should be worn when grinding and polishing. If there is a risk of being wound up (e.g. drills, processing small parts, etc.), gloves may be prohibited on the basis of a risk assessment.
Wear ear protection
Due to the noise exposure during grinding and polishing, it is necessary to wear suitable hearing protection on a regular basis.
