EICKELIT abrasive fleece can be used to clean, finely grind, matt and satin steel and non-ferrous metals. With our wide range of abrasive nonwovens with different strengths and grain sizes, we answer a wide variety of application-related requirements from our customers.

Due to the flexibility of non-woven fabrics, profiles and shaped surfaces in particular can be processed very efficiently and with gentle removal. As the backing material wears away, the tool surface constantly releases fresh grits in uniform concentrations. This results in a uniform grinding pattern over the entire service life of the abrasive fleece grinding tool.

In contrast to amorphous corundum, silicon carbide forms very sharp-edged crystals. As a result, abrasive fleeces with SiC appear sharper and consequently deliver more effective removal. Because of its hardness, silicon carbide is used in particular for the surfaces of non-ferrous metals, low-carbon tool steels and ceramic and mineral materials.
