Menzerna 495P finish polishing compound

Menzerna 495P is a medium-fat finish polishing compound for high-gloss polishing of plastics and composites. The colorless polishing paste is used in particular for light and white surfaces to prevent discolouration. 495P is therefore particularly suitable for polishing keyboard keys. Together with cotton polishing discs, it quickly ensures a beautiful and even high gloss. It can also be used on paintwork and stainless steel.

Product features

  • Finish polishing paste for a beautiful high gloss, especially for light-colored plastics
  • Weight: 1,200g
  • Fat content: medium fat
  • Application together with cotton polishing discs
  • Materials: light-colored plastics, plastic, composites, paint, stainless steel

Application instructions plastic polish

The Menzerna plastic paste system is particularly suitable for use in automobile interiors, arts and crafts, picture frames, kitchens, boat and yacht construction, furniture, violin, piano and piano construction.

  • Please polish at cutting speeds of 6 - 24m/s depending on the temperature sensitivity of the paint or the plastic
  • An optimal surface quality after polishing can only be achieved with a carefully structured grinding process
  • To keep the polishing times as short as possible, the final cut should not be too coarse
  • Menzerna heavy-cut pre-polishing paste GW18 is suitable for polishing polyester paintwork from a sanding of P600
  • To avoid "orange peel" or dulling/sinking of the surface, the workpieces should be heated as little as possible during polishing

Protective Equipment when Polishing

When grinding and polishing, the work equipment used creates considerable health risks. It is therefore compulsory to wear suitable personal protective equipment for work safety when grinding and polishing. In particular, all rotating polishing and brushing tools may only be operated with suitable covers for reasons of occupational safety.
