EICKELIT grinding fleece shank tools consist of a nylon random fleece with firmly bonded abrasive grain. This type of polishing tool is particularly suitable for cleaning, fine grinding, satin finishing and matting of non-ferrous metals and steels, as well as a large number of other fields of application. For abrasive fleece polishing discs, we use our diverse range of abrasive fleeces with abrasive bodies made of aluminum oxide or silicon carbide in different strengths and grain sizes.
Abrasive fleece has a very flexible texture, which is why fleece polishing discs can also be used to gently process shaped surfaces. Due to the constant wear of the carrier material, freshly released abrasive particles are always produced on the tool surface. As a result, the concentration of the abrasive always remains constant. As a result, polishing tools made of abrasive fleece are maintenance-free and provide a very homogeneous grinding pattern over their entire service life.

Areas of Application
Non-woven polishing tools are suitable for the surface treatment of metal (steel, INOX, non-ferrous metals and alloys) and non-metal surfaces (plastics, paints, wood, etc.)
Their wide area of application includes for instance cleaning, descaling, deburring, fine grinding, roughening, matting, satin finishing, etc.
New abrasive fleece polishing tools must first be carefully run in until a uniform finish is achieved
In order to avoid overheating and a subsequent disturbance of the surface structure that is difficult to correct afterwards, abrasive fleece polishing tools should be operated with as moderate to low pressure as possible
Basically, the rule applies that a lower cutting speed produces a coarser matting image
The following guide values apply to the typical cutting speeds of non-woven abrasive polishing tools:
